After the Chargers-Jets game, Aaron Rodgers said to Derwin James, "Give me a few weeks.
"
Aaron Rodgers' pregame performance last night was far more intriguing than the New York offense's on-field performance. Another interesting thing happened after the game.
"When are you coming back?" is a question Chargers defensive back Derwin James asked Aaron Rodgers, as seen on ESPN microphones.
Rodgers said, "Please give me a few weeks."
It has been eight weeks and one day since the injury. It's incredible to think that he might return in a few weeks.
It's still an amazing recovery, even if, as some speculate, Rodgers only suffered a partial tear of his Achilles tendon rather than a full tear.
Also, it fits in with what we mentioned at the end of Monday's PFT Live, when we mentioned that Rodgers is expected to want to return to practice “in a couple weeks,” according to someone with knowledge of the dynamics.
Naturally, considering that Rodgers has a history of setting off a fuse, fleeing, and then complaining to the media when the media goes off, Rodgers might have a different perspective on the matter when he speaks with Pat McAfee on Tuesday.
